Very caring Doctor. Excellent bedside manner. Was the third consultant I’d been to because the problem I had was so unusual others wouldn’t deal with it and referred to other specialities. Mr Phillips was prepared to operate and it’s been such a relief to get things sorted

Mr Phillips was understanding and humorous as well as, I felt, straightforward about the advice he gave. he included an opportunity to get a second opinion as well as the downsides of proposed treatment. He was also cost conscious.

Mr Phillips certainly listens and wants to help given he is exclusively private practice now and depends on private income. Surgery sometimes goes wrong and can leave you with more disability than before (it certainly did for me),however, I would have expected Mr Phillips to admit this and to put it right rather than blaming it on other problems. Thankfully I saw a different hand surgeon a few months later who was able to start putting things right.

This has been by far the best standard of care I have ever received. Mark is an excellent consultant and I would happily recommend him to anyone who requires hand/wrist surgery. The work he has done on my thumb will truly make a difference to me, as I had been suffering from pain for a number of years. Thank you Mark!

Mr Phillips is not only very good at his job but he is very kind and caring. Everything was explained well and I was always put at ease through every stage of the surgery. I had complete confidence in him and his team and would highly recommend him.
